Gillespie serves an ace at WimbledonFamed for the annual Wimbledon tennis Championships, the world renowned All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club is nearing the completion of its multi-million pound redevelopment project. Unveiled in 1993, the Club’s Long Term Plan set out to consolidate Wimbledon’s position as the premier lawn tennis event. The plans are culminating in a spectacular upgrade to the Club’s iconic main arena – the Centre Court. Gillespie UK Limited, of the Tvedt group of companies, were invited by architects HOK Sport and main contractors Elmer Construction Lewes to design, manufacture and install a GRG curved feature wall and circular column casing for the front of house fit-out. Six GRG tear drop column casings were formed, including 1656mm x 344mm inset niche features, in addition to a plasterboard façade wall. This prestigious, high profile project required the highest standards of finish. The Gillespie in-house design team are experienced in creating customised designs that allow for precision on-site finishing in order to achieve flawless visual contours. |
